Off-Road Vehicles

Used correctly, off-road vehicles, or 4x4s, are very versatile vehicles with a wide variety of uses. The use with trailers make them even more flexible and effective tools for both business and recreation. But even the most experienced off-road drivers can find themselves in hazardous and potentially dangerous situations. Serious accidents can and do occur without proper training.

Training is a legal requirement if you drive off-road for business purposes The Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations 1998 (PUWER) require employers to provide adequate training and to ensure that 4x4s are driven only by employees who have received the appropriate training in their safe use, including with trailers. If you are self-employed, the regulations still apply.
