Tractor Training & Assessment

Used correctly, tractors are very versatile vehicles with a wide variety of uses. The ever-wider range of types and attachments now available makes them even more flexible and effective tools in land-based industries. However, even the most experienced tractor drivers need to update their knowledge and skills to get the best out of new machinery. Safety is paramount: serious accidents can and do occur without proper training.

Training is a legal requirement. The Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations 1998 (PUWER) require employers to provide adequate training and to ensure that tractors are driven only by employees who have received appropriate training in their safe use, including with attachments and trailers. If you are self-employed, the regulations still apply.
